In modern America, as well as in who knows how many other countries, we have the idea that certain OTHER individuals have been called to preach.
But what about those of us who have the sneaking suspicion that perhaps God wants us to preach? Do you have this sneaking suspicion? Have you wondered, perhaps since childhood, if God has called you to preach His Good News to others?
When I was born again, as a seven year old kid, I spent long hours in conversation with God. Perhaps I thought I was only conversing with myself, but I've always known I was conversing with God Himself. There was always this still, small voice, speaking to my soul, the presence of whom I could not deny.
Do you have moments of quiet introspection wherein, amidst all of your trials and difficulties, you cannot deny that God has nonetheless been good to you? And do you feel the growing, swelling impression that perhaps the only thing God is requiring or requesting of you is that you tell others about the goodness and abundant grace of God? Then you might just be a preacher of God's grace.
God will have His way, you know. It will all end according to His will, for He is God. And if you are a preacher, then the sooner you get with it, the better, don't you think?
But for so many of us, the question is, “How on earth am I supposed to start?“ The answer is before you. Speak to Preach. We exist for the sole purpose of bringing the world's next generation of preachers of the Gospel of God to the forefront.
Perhaps you believe that a grounding in the fundamentals of faith must be attained through study at a theological seminary. Then we say you should pursue that. We do not pretend to stand in place of any such institution. On the contrary, we wish only to be a facilitator.
We also believe that "practice makes perfect," and the best way to be a great preacher tomorrow is to practice today.
